Welcome to the home of the finest Abalone in the World
The cool clean waters of the southern oceans, pollution free and temperature
stable are the source of the best abalone in the world. And nowhere are finer
examples of these delicious molluscs found than around the unspoiled southern
coastline of Australia where the species are harvested far from population centres
and industrial pollutants so frequently encountered in the northern hemisphere.
Australia's abalone beds are among the best and of a size which are suitable
and commercially viable. Our abalone resources are extremely well managed
to avoid over exploitation and guarantee continuity of the resource.
Only the finest abalone are accepted for processing at Dover Fisheries.
It's part of the philosophy that to produce premium quality canned abalone one
must begin with the best quality raw materials.

The shell fish are delivered from the sea to our factory processing door and from
that moment the most stringent quality controls are imposed on handling the molluscs.
Each abalone is inspected for blemishes and damage and is then graded according
to colour and texture.
After cleaning, the shellfish are graded once again and packed according to
their quality and size.
Within a few hours of delivery, the abalone have undergone a series of scrupulous
inspections, have been thoroughly cleaned and graded, packed and canned, ready
for dispatch to the four corners of the world.
Our stringent quality control methods also require
continuous sampling of each day's production and these samples are tested in our
laboratory to ensure they meet the highest standards and our meticulous product
specifications.
Further testing is conducted by the Institute of Medical Veterinary Science for
the quality of our ice, water and the sterility of our canned abalone.
Only the best abalone are good enough at Dover Fisheries Pty Ltd.Handling and
